Credits:2, 4Directors:WilsonGrading:Pass/FailPrerequisites:Completion of Core Clerkships.Description:This is a comprehensive overview of anesthesia to include pre-, intra- and post-operative care and evaluation of surgical patients. Students will spend equal time in the pre-operative evaluation area; providing anesthesia during a case; and also post-operative evaluation. Student will develop familiarity with intubation techniques, the difficult airway, operative monitoring, regional anesthesia, and risk stratification.
